Rewrite this post Good morning! We are looking at another stellar day here in Southern New England! Temperatures this afternoon will be summer-like and we could break a record. Hour by Hour // A look at the upcoming conditions » The record high for today is 85…we’ll be close to that! It’ll be cooler near the coast…in the 70s. We’ll get lots of sunshine today as a warm front lifts to our northeast. The winds won’t be as strong or as gusty today, so the fire risk won’t be as high. The National Weather Service has indicated that there is still an “Elevated Fire Risk” for today. The air and brush will still be dry. Please, no fire pits or brush burning today. Tonight, under clear skies, lows will be in the 50s. A “backdoor cold front” will be working through eastern Massachusetts on Friday. That front will likely stay to our north through the day, so we’ll be going back to the 80s Friday afternoon, but we’ll cool off quickly Friday night. Highs Friday afternoon will be between 80 and 83 with sunny skies. Saturday will be cooler with increasing clouds. It’s possible that some rain showers will move in by late day or evening. -Meteorologist T.J. Del Santo . Keep all images. Remove “and links” at the beginning
