At Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass., renovations worth $225 million are underway and are expected to be completed by the start of the New England Patriots’ 2023 season. As part of the upgrades, the largest high-definition outdoor stadium video board in the United States is being installed. The new curved-radius video board will measure 370 feet by 60 feet, and will give fans an enhanced look at game action, replays, statistics, and even fantasy football updates. Beyond the video board, a 75,000 square-foot enclosed space is being constructed, which will connect the upper concourse and be used for various functions throughout the year. The signature lighthouse will also be increased to a height of 218 feet and will feature an observation deck toward the top with a 360-degree view of the stadium and surrounding area. The entry gates will be relocated in favor of a “fan activation area,” which will include new and improved concessions and fan amenities. The renovations are taking place amid a historic summer for Gillette, with ten major concerts and the annual Army-Navy game being played at the stadium in December.
