The Rhode Island Department of Education has opened the lottery for free pre-K enrollment for the 2023-24 school year. This offers over 2,300 slots for children who are 4 years old by Sept. 1 and have parents living in one of the 18 towns that participate in the pre-K programme. Applications must be submitted via RIpreK.com by June 18. Presently, Rhode Island has 127 pre-K facilities and programs, and Education Commissioner Angélica Infante-Green encourages all eligible families to take the opportunity to set their children up for success.
