UConn claimed their fifth national title with a 76-59 win over San Diego State in the championship game of March Madness on Monday night. Adama Sanogo and Tristen Newton both had double-doubles to lead the Huskies in a game where they went on to win all six NCAA Tournament games by double-digits, only the fifth team to achieve this feat since the bracket expansion in 1985. Although the Aztecs managed to trim UConn’s lead to five, Jordan Hawkins hit a 3-pointer to trigger a 9-0 run that secured the win for the Huskies. Keshad Johnson had a team-high 14 points for San Diego State in their first trip to the Final Four.
