Residents in several US states are facing the aftermath of severe storms that produced dozens of tornadoes from the South and the Midwest into the Northeast, causing the deaths of at least 32 people. The storms resulted in widespread destruction, including a collapsed roof at a concert venue in Illinois. President Biden has declared many areas in the country as disaster zones making federal financial aid available for recovery. Arkansas also declared a state of emergency and activated the National Guard. The state recorded five deaths. At least eleven states experienced destroyed homes, splintered trees and neighborhoods, with Tennessee recording at least 15 deaths.
