
A male suspect was arrested on Sunday after causing multiple crashes on the westbound side of the Massachusetts Turnpike according to the Massachusetts State Police. The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m., and cruisers were dispatched to the area. Witnesses identified the suspect but he refused to stop, leading to a pursuit that ended with the suspect crashing and fleeing on foot. He was eventually found behind a home on Sturbridge Road in Charlton but continued to run and was arrested off Simpson Road in Charlton. The suspect was transported by Sturbridge EMS to Harrington Hospital with various injuries. Troopers found evidence of narcotics and alcohol usage in the suspect vehicle. Specific charges and the suspect’s name, age, and hometown have yet to be released.
