A fatal car crash occurred on Sunday morning in Portsmouth, resulting in the death of a female driver after colliding with a house on Anthony Road.
Police responded to the scene at approximately 11:00 a.m. and found significant property damage to both the car and house. The only occupant in the car, the driver, was removed and transported to Newport Hospital where she later died. No one inside the property was hurt.
Investigators are currently examining the incident, with Portsmouth detectives and the accident reconstruction unit leading the investigation. According to preliminary evidence, the vehicle was heading north on Anthony Road before veering off the road and hitting the home.
