The Dartmouth Police arrested two individuals this week for driving a stolen vehicle. According to reports, the police spotted the stolen Honda Pilot while driving in Dartmouth on Thursday. They followed the vehicle until it turned into a Walgreens parking lot on State Road. The occupants, identified as Melvin Ward and Jessica Fernandes, exited the car and went inside Walgreens. After the suspects left the store, the police approached and searched them, finding fentanyl on both suspects and stolen property from the Walgreens on Ward. Ward got charged with various offenses, including receiving a stolen motor vehicle, possession of a Class A drug (suspected fentanyl), shoplifting (second offense), unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and four outstanding warrants. Fernandes also faced charges for receiving a stolen motor vehicle, possession of a Class A drug (suspected fentanyl), and one outstanding warrant.
