The Annual Torch Run Plunge for Special Olympics Rhode Island took place at Salty Brine State Beach in Narragansett on Sunday afternoon, with 12 News team members like Chief Meteorologist Tony Petrarca, anchor Mike Montecalvo, and others participating. The event raised just under $60,000, exceeding their goal of $50,000. All proceeds will go directly towards supporting Special Olympics Rhode Island.
