Johnston Mayor Joseph Polisena Jr. visited the town’s new Amazon distribution center with Senator Jack Reed. The $290 million center is expected to bring in $145 million in tax revenue over 20 years, with a 20-year tax break offered by the town. It is set to employ over 1,500 full-time workers and a new RIPTA bus stop will soon be installed nearby. The facility is expected to open this summer. Images courtesy of Joseph Polisena Jr.
