The Pawtucket School Department is holding a job fair for high school students to explore career and technical education fields. The fair will take place on April 1 at Jenks Middle School, where students can connect with industry representatives, network with professionals in their chosen field, and interview for summer jobs. Workshops will be available on various topics including resume-building, mock interviews, trade skills, video production, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship. According to Ricardo Pimental, the district’s director of Career and Technical Education and Unified Arts, the fair is the first of its kind for Pawtucket students, providing opportunities for them to explore different careers and prepare for their future careers. Some of the guests include Pawtucket Parks and Rec, the Boys and Girls Club of Pawtucket, Rhode Island State Police, Ocean State Job Lot, and Collette Tours. Registration is required prior to attending the event, and interested individuals can learn more and register on the CTE Job Fair page at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc4Etv5e3rB56-1IrQsPPcMbxEXGT7YsVnFtwXkt3CYwkywrA/viewform.
