A man from North Dighton was taken into custody on multiple charges following an incident in Rehoboth on Tuesday night.
According to police, they received a report around 9:30 PM about a vehicle off the roadway in the vicinity of Simmons Street and Reservoir Avenue. Upon reaching the location, the police found Christopher Berry, 42 years old, standing close to his car in the woods and displaying signs of impairment.
Following a series of field sobriety tests, Berry was arrested on charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, operating under the influence, and other motor vehicle violations, said the police.
Berry was granted bail and scheduled to appear in court on Friday for arraignment.
