Good morning! It’s going to be another warmer-than-normal day, with patchy fog early on and mostly cloudy skies. Breezy winds and a few light showers are expected, mostly in the afternoon and evening, but they won’t be a major disruption. Temperatures will reach the mid to upper 50s by late day. The scattered afternoon showers are due to a cold front, which will bring gusty southwest winds up to 20-25mph as it approaches later in the day. Light rain showers will continue into the evening, keeping temperatures mild in the 50s, before skies clear and lows drop to the low 40s by dawn.
On Friday, dry skies return with partial afternoon sun after morning clouds break up. However, our next weather system will arrive on Saturday afternoon and night, bringing chilly rain and drizzle to southern New England. Central and northern New England’s higher elevations in particular may see a wintry mix, though highs for the day will be stuck in the 40s. Rainfall is expected to reach between 1/4″ and 3/4″ before tapering off Saturday night, accompanied by gusty east winds gusting 25-35mph. Sunday will bring gusty winds back, but will be milder overall.
