The Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA) has announced that 47 cats and kittens between 6 months and 8 years old, and of various hair lengths, have arrived in Massachusetts and will soon be available for adoption. The cats were flown to New Bedford Regional Airport from an overcrowded SPCA shelter in Texas, and are currently undergoing quarantine at the Northeast Animal Shelter (NEAS) in Salem. NEAS Assistant Director of Operations Jamie Garabedian stated that with warmer weather approaching, local shelters are likely to see an increase in the number of cats and kittens coming in, making it important to free up space while finding these cats new, loving homes. The MSPCA shared several photos of the cats and kittens, which can be viewed in the original post.
