The driver of the truck was headed towards Wrentham Center when they veered left and collided with a Hyundai Elantra, which was travelling in the opposite direction on Rt. 140. The truck driver sustained minor injuries, while a female passenger in the same vehicle suffered life threatening injuries and was transported to Rhode Island Hospital Trauma Center via Med Flight. The driver of the Elantra suffered serious injuries but is expected to survive. The accident is currently being investigated by Wrentham Police and the Massachusetts State Police Accident Reconstruction Team, and no charges have been filed as of yet.
