The undersized Fairleigh Dickinson Knights made NCAA Tournament history on Friday night with a shocking upset over top-seeded Purdue, becoming only the second No. 16 seed to win a game in March Madness. Despite being the shortest team in the country, the Knights swarmed 7-foot-4 All-America center Zach Edey from the start and pulled ahead of the Big Ten champion Boilermakers for a 63-58 victory. FDU’s Sean Moore led with 19 points and a relentless defensive effort by the team overwhelmed Purdue, which finished 5 of 26 from beyond the arc. The Knights will now face FAU in a Sweet 16 berth on Sunday.
