The Rhode Island State Police reported that a man was shot on I-95 North in Providence but sustained non-threatening injuries. The incident, which police believe was targeted, occurred around 11:00 p.m. Friday night, and there is no danger to the public. Following the shooting, the victim exited the highway onto Memorial Blvd. and parked on Chestnut St. to receive medical care. The victim remained on Chestnut St. and was eventually transported to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment. An investigation is currently ongoing. The post includes an image of the scene.
