The Safewise report has revealed that Bristol has been named the safest city in Rhode Island for the third year in a row. Bristol’s violent crime rate is 0.5 incidents per 1,000 residents, and its property crime rate is 2.6 per 1,000. South Kingstown and North Kingstown ranked second and third on the list, respectively, while East Providence made it to the top ten for the first time, ranking ninth. Bristol Police Chief Kevin Lynch expressed his gratitude to his team for their efforts in supporting community-based programs and leadership.
