Microsoft has unveiled Copilot, an artificial intelligence feature that aims to enhance productivity when using its core Office software applications. Copilot will allow users to execute several tasks, including the creation of summaries in Outlook, drafting stories in Word, and animating slides in PowerPoint. Another feature, Business Chat, offers users a similar function to the popular ChatGPT, with options such as summarizing an email relating to a particular project. The new features will initially be available to 20 enterprise customers with more customers being added in the coming months. Google’s Workspace applications, Google Docs, Gmail, and Slides, will also soon be integrating generative AI technology.
