The Better Business Bureau (BBB) has issued a warning to companies and consumers about scammers pretending to represent the organization. Scammers are using emails with BBB logos and fake complaint numbers to steal information and money from businesses. In one recent phone scam, the scammer claimed to be from the BBB and offered credit cards and loans. Consumers are advised to be wary of other scams involving PayPal, fake invoices, and tech support. Any suspected scams should be reported to the Scam Tracker page on the BBB’s website and local BBB headquarters contacted.
