Two women from Cranston, Rhode Island, Ariana Anderson, 24, and Julia Santucci, 26, are facing animal cruelty charges after the Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RISPCA) rescued 20 rabbits from their apartment last week. The rabbits were found living in deplorable conditions and in need of veterinary care, stacked on top of each other in dog crates. The RISPCA hopes to put them up for adoption soon. Anderson and Santucci have pleaded not guilty and were released on personal recognizance after turning themselves in Monday morning following an arrest warrant. The post includes two images of the women from the Cranston Police Department.
