Police in Providence, R.I., are currently investigating a shooting that occurred near Niantic Ave. on the night of Saturday, March 11. The crime scene is located near the border with Cranston.
According to Providence Police Major David Lapatin, one male victim sustained critical injuries while it is also suspected that a woman may have been shot in the hand.
Investigators have been searching the area and gathering evidence, with shell casings photographed and a section of the street cordoned off with crime scene tape.
