The swearing-in ceremony of Attleboro’s new mayor took place at City Hall on Saturday morning.
Mayor Cathleen DeSimone, aged 56, will officially begin her term as the city’s mayor on Monday.
She won against acting Mayor James Dilisio in a special election held last week.
Dilisio had been serving as the acting mayor since former Mayor Paul Heroux assumed the position of Bristol County Sheriff.
