EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced a recall of thousands of Anker 535 Power Banks due to a fire hazard. The portable chargers, which can charge multiple devices at once, have been reported to overheat while in use.

Anker has received 10 reports of the lithium-ion batteries inside the portable chargers overheating. The recall affects power banks sold in black, silver, purple, blue, and green. Anker has asked customers who have purchased the affected product to contact them for instructions on how to dispose of the power bank and receive a full refund.
