The search for a missing Fairhaven woman resumed on Tuesday, as Anapaula Huggins, 43, had disappeared on Monday while walking her dog near Pope Beach on Manhattan Avenue around 7:30 am. Her family later found the dog alone. First responders, including police boats and K-9 units, are looking for Huggins in the shoreline and the water of the Acushnet River and surrounding areas. Huggins is 5 feet, 8 inches tall, has long black hair, and was last seen wearing a maroon jacket and black pants. Fairhaven police are encouraging residents in the area to check their surveillance footage and are asking anyone with information about her whereabouts to call them.
