VU University Amsterdam provides a small number of scholarships for exceptional international students from all countries of the world through the VU Fellowship Programme. The most important selection criteria are academic excellence and motivation. We offer three types of scholarship:
€ 20.000: A nearly full scholarship covering tuition fee, accommodation, visa costs and part of the living expenses for Non-EER students€ 10.000: A scholarship covering a major part of the tuition fees for non-EER students, or a nearly full scholarship for EER students€ 5.000: A scholarship covering accommodation expenses for one year
The Faculty board will select students for the scholarships depending on their grades, motivation and financial situation. The scholarships will be awarded early May. You can apply by sending us this application form and a scholarship motivation letter. The scholarship motivation letter should include, an explanation why you wish and need to receive the amount you specified above, an indication of what financial resources you can contribute yourself to your studies, if you are still planning to participate in the programme if you do not receive this scholarship.
Scholarship Application Deadline: 1 April 2011.

Firstly i want to say thank you all who r involved in this scholarship. Cz we Africans specially Ethiopians have less chance to upgrade ourselves. The main reason is financial problem. I need to apply in ur scholarship, if it’s possible full scholarship, if not partial. To do so, i couldn’t get the application form. So please send it to me.

I am from Ethiopia. I am a graduate of Hotel and Tourism Management from Hawassa University with a GPA of 3.5. i want to have full scholarship. i would be very glad if your organization allows me to be one of its member.
iam the who need full scholarship because iam poor and elder doughter of family of 6 doughters and one son, so for any reasons no possibility of my parents to give me any other education more than advanced diploma in financial administration which i hold and getting merried
Having a master degree has been my dream but it has always been impeded by insufficient funds as a result of the devastating northern Uganda war which lasted for more than 22 years and left me vulnerable with 10 dependants at my age of 26 to take care. please any kind of assistant is welcome.
