Eligibility:
-Must be from traditionally underrepresented groups including women, visible minorities, international students, students with disabilities and aboriginal students.
-Officially enrolled in a four-year full-time undergraduate degree program.Students currently enrolled in 1 st , 2 nd or 3 rd year with a minimum 2.00 cumulative grade point average will be considered for a $1,000 or $2,500 scholarship. Deadline: March 1, 2012. All scholarships awarded will be deposited directly to students’ tuition fees, for the following academic year.
- Demonstrated financial need reflected in the Budget Form submitted.
- Submission of a personal letter (750 words or less) which describes both successes and challenges experienced while pursuing a postsecondary education and the importance of receiving this scholarship.

Students may only apply for a discount if they are registered as a student at the University or after they have been offered a place to study on their chosen degree programme and have been assessed as international for fees purposes. Where two family members are intending to start their studies in 2012 or are currently studying at the University, one will be able to apply for an IFD. The value of these awards is 10% of the tuition fees for each year of the degree programme.

The applicants must, at the time of recruitment (i) be in possession of a doctoral degree in the fields of Electrical & Computer Engineering, independently of the time taken to acquire it, or (ii) have at least four years of full-time equivalent research experience, including the period of research training, after obtaining the degree which formally allowed them to embark on a doctorate in the country in which the degree/diploma was obtained or in the host country (irrespective of whether or not a doctorate was envisaged). The working language will be English; therefore, fluency in English is a requirement.
