Women’s Service Guild of Western Australia was established as a voluntary organisation for the purpose of promoting the interests of women in WA. The Guild, after almost one hundred years of service, is no longer in operation but has endowed top-up scholarships to support research that will specifically benefit women and children.
Applications are invited from doctoral candidates whose area of postgraduate research training supports the interest of women and children. Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund, South Africa 2011
Spacer for students from developing countries who are currently studying in South Africa at the University of Pretoria or the University of Cape Town. MMMF awards grants of approximately US$4,000 each.
Eligibility: A woman is eligible to apply for an MMMF grant if she meets all the following criteria:
1. Has a record of service to women and/or children in her country or other developing country.
2. Is enrolled at the University of Pretoria or the University of Cape Town when applying and remains enrolled during the entire year of the grant.
3. Uses the grant to study for her degree.
4. Is a citizen of a World Bank lower or middle income member country (Country Eligibility List)
5. Plans to return to home country or another developing country within 30 months after receiving grant and perform at least two years of service.
6. Demonstrates financial need.
7. Is at least 25 years old by December 31, 2010.
8. Is not related to any World Bank Group staff member or his/her or her spouse.

Scholarships for Girls,Maulana Azad National Scholarship, For Minority Students
Maulana Azad Education Foundation was established on the occasion of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad’s birth centenary. The Foundation was registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860, on 6th July, 1989. The Foundation is a voluntary non-political, non-profit marking social service organization established to promote education amongst the educationally backward sections of the society. It is funded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India.
The Hon’ble Minister of Minority Affairs is its Ex-officio President. The aim of the Foundation is to formulate and implement educational schemes and plans for the benefit of the educationally backward minorities in particular and weaker sections in general.
Application can be downloaded from the web site www.maef.nic.in Photocopy of the application form can be used freely. No fee/any other amount is to be paid for application.
Application form can be sent by the student directly to the Foundation by post or can be submitted by hand from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.on all working days in the office of the Foundation.

Scholarships for Occupational Therapy Students and upper level Baccalaureate Nursing Students funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Health Resources and Services Administration
Texas Woman’s University is pleased to announce that HRSA has awarded TWU funds through the Scholarships for Disadvantaged Students Program. TWU will be making scholarship awards for full time Occupational Therapy Students and full
time upper level Baccalaureate Nursing Students including RN to BSN (pre-nursing students are not eligible). The scholarship awards for the 2010/2011 academic year will range from $2,500 to $6,000 and over 140 awards will be made. Students eligible to apply for funds must meet the minimum requirements of:
1. Documented Financial Need
2. US Citizen
3. Full-Time Student
4. Admitted into the Undergraduate Nursing Program (pre-nursing students are not eligible) or the Graduate Occupational Therapy Program

NWO Rubicon Postdoctoral Fellowships 2010, Netherlands

The aim of the Rubicon programme is to encourage talented researchers at Dutch universities and research institutes run by KNAW and NWO to dedicate themselves to a career in postdoctoral research. Rubicon offers researchers who have completed their doctorates in the past year the chance to gain experience at a top research institution outside the Netherlands (maximum of two years).
The Rubicon programme also offers talented researchers from abroad the opportunity to obtain grants to spend a maximum of two years in the Netherlands to conduct research.
Who can apply
Postgraduates who are currently engaged in doctoral research or who have been awarded a doctorate in the twelve months preceding the relevant deadline. Applicants who are still engaged in doctoral research may only apply if their supervisor provides a written declaration approving their thesis.
Women especially are urged to apply.

ANGUS SAWISE SCHOLARSHIP
Each year SA WISE awards the Angus Scholarship, to a Sub-Saharan black woman graduate with 70% or above grade average in her subject of study. The scholarship is awarded for 1 year of tertiary study at Honours level (or 4th year level of study) in any field of science and engineering. South African applicants will be given preference.
