HRSA Scholarship, Texas Woman’s University, USA
Scholarships for Occupational Therapy Students and upper level Baccalaureate Nursing Students funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Health Resources and Services Administration
Texas Woman’s University is pleased to announce that HRSA has awarded TWU funds through the Scholarships for Disadvantaged Students Program. TWU will be making scholarship awards for full time Occupational Therapy Students and full
time upper level Baccalaureate Nursing Students including RN to BSN (pre-nursing students are not eligible). The scholarship awards for the 2010/2011 academic year will range from $2,500 to $6,000 and over 140 awards will be made. Students eligible to apply for funds must meet the minimum requirements of:
1. Documented Financial Need
2. US Citizen
3. Full-Time Student
4. Admitted into the Undergraduate Nursing Program (pre-nursing students are not eligible) or the Graduate Occupational Therapy Program

NWO Rubicon Postdoctoral Fellowships 2010, Netherlands

The aim of the Rubicon programme is to encourage talented researchers at Dutch universities and research institutes run by KNAW and NWO to dedicate themselves to a career in postdoctoral research. Rubicon offers researchers who have completed their doctorates in the past year the chance to gain experience at a top research institution outside the Netherlands (maximum of two years).
The Rubicon programme also offers talented researchers from abroad the opportunity to obtain grants to spend a maximum of two years in the Netherlands to conduct research.
Who can apply
Postgraduates who are currently engaged in doctoral research or who have been awarded a doctorate in the twelve months preceding the relevant deadline. Applicants who are still engaged in doctoral research may only apply if their supervisor provides a written declaration approving their thesis.
Women especially are urged to apply.

Postgraduate W omen’s Scholarship
Rhodes University invites potential high flyers in their fields,to apply for the above scholarship for full-time postgraduate study abroad in 2011.
Eligibility : Postgraduate women with a first class (75% and higher)academic record and outstanding personal qualities, preference being given to applicants of South African descent, regardless of race creed or colour,
who are English speaking (in the sense that either home language is English, or that they have a real love and affection for the language).
Period: Two years of full-time study.
Tenable: At any university or tertiary institution abroad, but preferably Oxford, Cambridge, Edinburgh, St Andrews or Trinity College (Dublin).

Edna Waddell Undergrad Scholarships for Women in Technology and Engineering, New Zealand
The purpose of the scholarships is to provide funds to help women undertake undergraduate study for degrees in engineering and technology at New Zealand universities. The Scholarships will be for women entering their first year of full time study for an undergraduate degree, who have not previously studied full time at that level in technology and engineering. The Scholarships are intended for school leavers and mature women; if the latter, preference will be given to those who have worked in industry for at least three years or/and have passed sub-degree courses in technology or engineering.

Maulana Azad National Scholarship Scheme for Meritorious Girl Students in India

Maulana Azad Education Foundation was established on the occasion of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad’s birth centenary. The Foundation was registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860, on 6th July, 1989. The Foundation is a voluntary non-political, non-profit marking social service organization established to promote education amongst the educationally backward sections of the society. It is funded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India.
The Hon’ble Minister of Minority Affairs is its Ex-officio President. The aim of the Foundation is to formulate and implement educational schemes and plans for the benefit of the educationally backward minorities in particular and weaker sections in general.
Application can be downloaded from the web site www.maef.nic.in Photocopy of the application form can be used freely. No fee/any other amount is to be paid for application.
Application form can be sent by the student directly to the Foundation by post or can be submitted by hand from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.on all working days in the office of the Foundation.
No charges/fee is to be paid to any one for any services.
Sanction letter/cheque for scholarship will sent by Regd. Post directly to the address of successful candidate on completion of prescribed papers/formalities.

Child Family Health International Scholarship 2010
International Scholarship, CFHI, In the field of Health
Child Family Health International (CFHI) offers partial scholarships for use towards CFHI program fees. Scholarships are currently available for the following program months only: Fall 2010- September, October, November, December 2010. Recipients of scholarships are responsible for the remaining balance of CFHI program fees. All recipients are responsible for their own airfare.
CFHI is happy to announce it will be offering 7 partial scholarships for fall 2010 programs. Seven (7) partial scholarships in the amount of US $500 may be awarded towards participation in any CFHI global health education program during the above program months.
Who Can Apply?
CFHI is committed to working globally and addressing inequities. In line with this global lens, it is the policy of CFHI to actively seek a diverse pool of candidates from a variety of backgrounds who are committed to the mission and vision of CFHI. Scholarships will be given to students who demonstrate a commitment to their communities as well as financial need and an interest in exchanging ideas and sharing experiences with people in Bolivia, Ecuador, India, Mexico and South Africa. Priority will be given to people of ethnicities under-represented in CFHI programs, as well as those who have had limited opportunity to travel abroad. All interested in attending a CFHI program during Fall 2010 and who are financially able to pay the remaining program fees (~US$1500) along with their own airfare are encouraged to apply. The deadline for submitting the CFHI Fall 2010 Scholarship application is August 2, 2010.
Scholarship Recipient Requirements:
Recipients of CFHI scholarships will be required to pay their own airfare, the balance of their CFHI program fees, and any personal expenses as outlined on the program description pages. Recipients must keep a clinical and cultural immersion journal to be used as part of their scholarship report submitted at the end of their program.
