-Award will be based on merit in accordance with the admission requirements as outlined by the program
-Be U.S. citizen or permanent resident
-Not receiving any other scholarship/assistantship from MSU

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students who are currently enrolled or are planning to enroll at a PASSHE university. The student’s home address of record must be Butler, Clarion, Forest, Jefferson, Lawrence, Mercer, or Venango Counties, Pennsylvania. Students must have achieved positive academic success and have proven financial need, based on university criteria. In the event there are no qualified students from these counties, the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education shall have the right to award the scholarship to any student enrolled at a PASSHE university.

Graduate students enrolled in an interim master’s program or doctoral program are eligible to apply. If a student is currently enrolled in a terminal master’s program, the student must intend to enroll in a PhD program. Special attention will be given to applications from students who, at the time of application, are within the first two years of graduate study in psychology. The purpose of the scholarship program is to assist graduate students of psychology with research costs associated with the master’s thesis or doctoral dissertation.
