The scholarships are available to people of any nationality, although candidates must be between 23 and 40 years old except for research scholarships.

The FUNDACION BOTIN assigns 220.000 € to Visual Arts Grants for study, research and the undertaking of individual projects in the sphere of (non-theoretical) artistic work. Artists may be any nationality. Q The Fundación Botín may award one grant to an artist from, or resident in, Cantabria, as long as this application involves a change of residence. Post-doctoral position in Cognitive Neuroscience

Applications are invited for a full-time post-doctoral research position in the MULTISENSORY RESEARCH GROUP at the Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona). The post is part of the BRAINGLOT project, a Research Network on Bilingualism and Cognitive Neuroscience (Consolider-Ingenio 2010 Scheme, Spanish Ministry of Science and Education).

Project
The project brings together the efforts of several research groups spanning different scientific disciplines with the common purpose of addressing the phenomenon of bilingualism from an open and multidisciplinary perspective. The MRG attempts to understand the use of multisensory cues (audiovisual) speech information in the context of learning and using a second language. The project includes behavioral, neuroimaging (fMRI, ERP) and, neurostimulation (TMS) approaches.

Job description
We seek a person who leads the electrophysiological aspects of the project (ERP/EEG), including the development of independent scientific studies, as well as the participation (i.e., supervision) in others. Institute for Prospective Technological Studies announce Senior Researcher Position in Regional Economic Modelling (GH40), Spain

Eligibility:
The senior scientist must have at the time of applying a minimum of 10 years research experience at the post-doctoral level, or a minimum of 15 years research experience after the first university degree giving access to doctoral studies (which may include periods of training such as a master’s degree) in a field relevant to the JRC’s scientific activities. A very good level of written and spoken English is essential and knowledge of at least one other EU language is compulsory.

The Knowledge for Growth Unit (KfG) of JRC-IPTS is looking for a senior researcher to work on the regional modelling project. In close co-operation with the Directorate-General for Regional Policy and its external contractors, this project aims at developing a system of regional models for evaluating the impact of EU cohesion policy.
