International Doctoral Research Scholarships, New Zealand

You may be able to ease the financial burden of tertiary education with one of the many university scholarships awarded to New Zealand students each year.

There are literally hundreds of grants, allowances and scholarships available to students at all stages of study.

Our scholarships database provides details of scholarships provided, promoted or administered specifically by Lincoln University.

This includes information on the Sports Scholarship Programme run by Lincoln University to help leading rugby, hockey, netball, golf, football and cricket players achieve both their academic and sporting goals.

 

Eligibility

You can apply for any number of scholarships that you are eligible for.

Each student can earn up to NZD$26,000 worth of scholarships per annum, plus fees.

If you already have a scholarship please check the regulations to determine if you are able to hold other scholarships concurrently.

If you are an international student please check the regulations to see if you are eligible to apply. Many scholarships stipulate that only New Zealand citizens or permanent residents are eligible to apply.

In most cases Australian citizens are deemed to be NZ residents for the purposes of scholarship eligibility unless the regulations of a scholarship specifically state otherwise.

Job description
With the support of the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), the International AIDS Society (IAS) has established a research fellowship programme focusing on HIV and drug use, with the goal of contributing to advances in the scientific understanding of drug use and HIV, while fostering international collaborative research on HIV and drug use.

The fellowship programme is awarded as a stipend of US$75,000 in two categories: to a junior scientist for 18-month post-doctoral training, or to a well-established HIV researcher for an eight-month-long professional development training at leading host institutes excelling in HIV-related drug use research. In 2012, up to four fellowships will be awarded. Successful applicants will be invited to the XIX International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2012), in Washington D.C. 22-27 July 2012, where the awards ceremony will be held.

2012 BCI Student Research Scholarship Program

Each year, BCI awards scholarships to help students at universities around the world conduct conservation-relevant research.

Students enrolled in any college or university worldwide are eligible to apply. Students who have applied in previous years to BCI’s Student Research Scholarship Program are eligible to reapply each subsequent year, whether they received a previous BCI grant or not. Non-students are not eligible. All proposals to the Student Research Scholarship Program must be prepared by the applicant. While BCI will fund research that is part of a larger project, the student must personally research and develop the proposal.
