We have developed a scholarship program for students pursuing education and degrees that would be used in the aerospace industry. Eligibility:
-A citizen of one of the following eligible African countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Chad, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, The Gambia and Uganda.
- Applicants must normally be a resident in their country of citizenship, however some exceptions may be accepted (refer to eligibility criteria (b) on page 8 below)
-Satisfy the minimum eligibility criteria for Australian Development Scholarships (attached), including meeting Australian tertiary institution entry requirements.
-In most cases this will require that candidates possess a qualification that is assessed to be the equivalent to an Australian Masters degree and be able to demonstrate a capacity to undertake independent research. ? A minimum of two years relevant post- Masters work experience relevant to your proposed field of study is preferred.
- English proficiency of a standard at least equivalent to IELTS 6.5 with no band score less than 6.0. Note that some universities will require a higher score (if required, the further English language proficiency testing will be facilitated by the Australian Government if you are short-listed for a selection interview)

Jefferson Science Fellowship for USA citizens

Fellowship for USA citizens in Science, Technology, and Engineering to study at a USA College or University 2012-2013

Eligibility:
-Must be a U.S. citizen Must be a scientist, technologist, engineer, or physician holding a tenured, or similarly ranked, academic appointment at a U.S. college or university
- If awarded, the candidate must successfully complete and maintain security clearances at the U.S. Department of State/USAID
-Applicant’s academic institution must sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the U.S. Department of State in order to be considered as a finalist.

Recognizing this need, the Secretary of State announced, on October 8, 2003, the Jefferson Science Fellows (JSF) program at the U.S. Department of State, establishing a new model for engaging the American academic science, technology, engineering and medical communities in the formulation and implementation of U.S. foreign policy. The JSF program is administered by the National Academies and supported through a partnership between the U.S. academic community, professional scientific societies, the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Eligibility:
-Be a US citizen or authorized to work on a full-time basis in the United States.
-Be enrolled full-time as a sophomore, junior, or senior in one of the specified institutions.
- opens in new window Have a minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA (on 4.0 scale), which must be maintained throughout your participation in the program.
-Major in one of the following disciplines: geology, geophysics or physics; chemical, civil, electrical, mechanical, petroleum, geological, or geophysical engineering.
- Be a member of an under-represented race/ethnicity in the technical/science academic areas.
-To be eligible, nominees must be Black (Not of Hispanic Origin), Hispanic/Latino, American Indian, or Alaskan Native.
-Renewal of the scholarship is contingent upon the student remaining qualified and accepting a Shell Oil Company internship if offered prior to December 1st of the funding year.
-All phases of the application process must be completed and received by February 29, 2012, to be considered for the scholarship award.
