The candidate is expected to have a PhD degree and we are looking for a person with a proven publication record within the field of structural dynamics in disordered media and with established experience in conducting synchrotron experiments. A very significant part of the job will be further developing the analysis of time-resolved X-ray data using in-house developed software, so the candidate must have a solid knowledge of scientific programming, preferably in Matlab. As the investigated phenomena take place at the interface between chemistry, physics and materials science, the candidate should have a relevant background in one or more of these fields. Applicants should have a PhD in Aerodynamics, or a related area, or equivalent working/research experience. An understanding of the mechanics of unsteady aerodynamics and flow control will also be an advantage.
