Science and Technology Department of the French Embassy in India has launched this programme since 2005 to develop and strengthen the Indo-French scientific cooperation. The 2011 call for proposal focuses exclusively on three areas:
1. Water Sciences: submitted proposals are required to be multidisciplinary. Water sciences proposals must be related to water aspect in any field such as agriculture, climate change, conservation, technology & engineering, purification, supply of drinkable water, treatment & health, etc.
2. Mathematics: all fields of fundamental and applied mathematics are eligible.
3. Nanotechnologies: when nanoscience is applied to any field / domain.
This fellowship program is dedicated to highly qualified Indian Doctoral/PhD students, to offer them an excellent opportunity to establish relationships with France. French Embassy scholarship program is directed to Thai people under the age of 35 who intend to study in French universities or Higher Education Institutions, at Master degree or PhD level.
After receipt of the complete files, applicants will be shortlisted on the basis of their files. Candidates whose applications have been preselected will be interviewed by the selection committee. The final selection is made by the French Embassy in compliance with visa eligibility requirements and foreigners’ terms of stay in France.
In order to identify grant recipients, the selection committee will consider:
-The candidate’ skills and merit as borne out by his/her academic record and professional background;

This scholarship has been established to provide continuing funding for a Trinity College student who is registered in an Honours Bachelor of Arts or Commerce programme, and who is not also receiving another significant continuing scholarship. Candidates are to have strong academic records and good records of community participation. The award is given each year to a student entering second year and is renewable for the third year and fourth year of study as long as the recipient maintains aminimum 3.50 AGPA each year on a minimum of 4.0 credits, and remains positively involved in the College and/or University and/or community; special consideration may be given to renewal for a student whose AGPA or course load falls below the minimums above in any given year as a result of circumstances that have disrupted his/her academic work.
