Scholarship program for International students for pursuing masters studies at Linköping University, Sweden
For students applying for a Master’s programme at Linköping University, Sweden, there will be one hundred LiU InternationalScholarships resulting in a fee waiver of up to 50 per cent of the tuition fee. No separate scholarship application is needed. A qualifying academic background opens educational opportunity in natural sciences, technology, social and educational sciences, and the humanities.
SPACEMASTER-Joint European Master in Space Science and Technology, Europe
Erasmus Mundus scholarships will be awarded to students and scholars for each of the five Rounds of SpaceMaster beginning 2010-2014. The scholarships are available for EU and non-EU students. The number of scholarships for each Round will be defined by the EU Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA).
* EM scholarship amount for Category A* is 32000 EUR (after deduction of the tuition fees for 2 years) and includes:
o contribution to travel, installation and any other type of costs of 8000 EUR for two years of studies;
o monthly allowance of 1000 EUR during 22 study months and 2 months internship at a partner university or associate member during the first year
* EM scholarship amount for Category B** is 15000 EUR (after deduction of the tuition fees for 2 years) and includes:
o mobility grant of 3000 EUR for travel to a Third Country partner university;
o monthly allowance of 500 EUR during 22 study months and 2 months internship at a partner university or associate member during the first year
* Category A: students who come from a country other than an EU Member State, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Norway and who are not residents nor have carried out their main activity (studies, training or work) for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years in one of these countries
** Category B: students who do not fulfill the Category A criteria
Erasmus Mundus Application Limit
Do notice that for the academic year 2011-12, there is a maximum limit of THREE applications per student for Erasmus Mundus Masters Courses, according to the latest Call for Proposals (EAC/04/09). In the case that a student applies to more than three EM Courses he/she will be excluded from the selection for an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship.

University Putra Malaysia International Graduate Research Fellowship
UPM, being a Research University, awards fellowship international students of UPM in the field of Medical, Science and Social Sciences.
Application is open to international students of UPM who are currently enrolling in a Masters (by research) or PhD programme. However, they are required to fulfill the following conditions:
i) Registered as a UPM student and the current status of study is “Good standing”;
ii) Have not exceeded 3 semesters of study for the Masters and 5 semesters for the PhD programmes at the time of submission of application;
iii) The application must be supported by Advisor/Chairman of the Supervisory Committee and the Dean of faculty/Director of Institute.
2. The following students are not eligible to apply:

ii) Student who have deferred their study
iii) Student who under a split postgraduate programme

Wellcome Trust Doctoral Studentship (ETHOX), UK
Wellcome Trust Doctoral Studentship in the Ethics of Collaborative Global Health Research at University of Oxford for PhD Position
Ethox Centre has been awarded a major Wellcome Trust Enhancement Award to establish an international research network on the ethics of collaborative global health research. The network, which is a joint initiative of the Ethox Centre in Oxford and the Wellcome-KEMRI Unit in Kilifi, Kenya, will build ethics expertise and capacity both in the United Kingdom and in developing countries – with a particular emphasis on building capacity at the Wellcome Trust’s Major Overseas Programme sites. The research activities of the network will focus on five themes: community engagement; global ethics governance; the ethics of research collaboration; the roles and responsibilities of research actors; and challenges in empirical ethics research. The award will fund DPhil studentships, the development of on-line resources, and a range of training activities. The network will also act as a focus for the encouragement of local research initiatives in developing country sites. The network’s Principal Investigator is Professor Michael Parker.

Khazanah-Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies Merdeka Scholarships, established to mark the 50th anniversary of Malaysia’s independence, are intended to enable outstanding Malaysian students to undertake postgraduate study at the University of Oxford.
Subject areas may be drawn from a range of fields. Candidates are required to demonstrate a high level of academic achievement, and how their study will make a contribution to the future needs of Malaysia.
Awards will include University and College fees, accommodation and subsistence allowances, and return air fares. Awards are renewable annually through the duration of the programme of study.

Studentship for PhD studies in MS-based Proteomics at University of Copenhagen
Department of Proteomics at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Protein Research is offering a PhD stipend in the Proteomics and Cell Signaling Group. The position is offered for a period of three years and employment is governed by the Protocol on PhD Research Fellows signed by the Danish Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations) on 1 October 2008, enclosure 5. The salary depends on seniority, as agreed between the Ministry of Finance and AC within the range of 23.000-30.000 DKK/month (approximately 3.100-4.000 Euro/month) for a PhD position plus a pension supplement of 17 %.
The PhD candidate will be expected, over the period of the stipend, to acquire experience in teaching or other types of presentations. The tentative start date is 1 March 2011.
